Real skills. Earned confidence.
Purposeful martial arts training that helps kids build real skills, develop resilience, and discover what they can accomplish through effort.
More than an activity. A place to grow.
Between seven and eleven, kids are discovering what they're capable of. REAL Juniors gives them a place to move, learn, make friends, and work toward meaningful goals.
Our classes are engaging and encouraging, but they also ask something of students: pay attention, practice with purpose, treat others with respect, and keep going when a skill doesn't come easily.

Skills on the mats. Lessons beyond them.
Progress is about more than collecting techniques. The process of learning them develops habits kids can carry into everyday life.
Real martial arts skills
Striking, jiu-jitsu, coordination, and movement developed through thoughtful, progressive instruction.
Focus & self-discipline
Practicing attention, self-control, and the ability to follow through even when something takes work.
Confidence through effort
Learning to handle mistakes, work through frustration, and take pride in improvement they've earned.
Respect & connection
Working with partners, supporting classmates, and becoming part of a positive training community.

Two disciplines. One purposeful program.
REAL Juniors learn both striking and Jiu Jitsu, through purposeful, age-appropriate training.
Students build fundamental punches, kicks, defensive skills, movement, and coordination through drills, pad work, and age-appropriate partner activities.
Students learn grappling fundamentals, positioning, escapes, control, and problem-solving through structured practice with partners.
Training builds over time. Students are challenged at an appropriate level, and advancement reflects demonstrated development rather than simply showing up.
Supportive coaches. Meaningful expectations.
We want kids to enjoy training and feel like they belong. We also believe they benefit from being challenged, making mistakes, and learning to work through them.
Our coaches pay attention to the individual while maintaining a positive, focused class environment. We encourage effort, celebrate improvement, and help students take ownership of their progress.

Progress worth earning.
At REAL, belts and milestones represent developing ability, consistency, and growth. We don't believe meaningful achievements should be automatic.
Students learn to set goals, respond to feedback, and keep working when the next step takes time. That process is a big part of what makes martial arts valuable.
