Made for little learners

Serious about growth. Not serious all the time.

At four, five, or six years old, martial arts should feel exciting, approachable, and rewarding. Little Dragons introduces foundational movement and martial arts skills through structured, playful training.

We want children to enjoy being here. We also want them to practice listening, taking turns, following directions, trying again, and discovering what they can do with a little effort.

What training looks like

Real martial arts. Right for their age.

Every Little Dragons class combines striking and grappling through short, engaging activities that build coordination, foundational martial arts skills, and safe training habits.

Striking in every class

Young students practice hand strikes with open palms rather than boxing gloves, emphasizing safe mechanics and control while learning how to generate power.

Grappling in every class

Movement, balance, body positioning, and foundational grappling concepts are introduced through age-appropriate instruction.

Progress that matters

Coaches look for developing skills, participation, and growing independence—not simply attendance.

The REAL approach

Encouragement and expectations can go together.

Some children arrive eager to jump in. Others need a little time to feel comfortable. We meet them where they are, while helping them take the next step.

Our coaches aim to create an environment where kids can have fun, make mistakes, try again, and feel proud of progress they've earned.

A thoughtful first step

Is your child ready for Little Dragons?

Every child develops at their own pace, and being four years old doesn't necessarily mean they're ready for a structured martial arts class.

That's why our free introductory lesson also serves as a readiness evaluation. Your child gets to experience REAL while our instructors get to know them and assess whether the program is a good fit.

We're not looking for perfection. We're looking for readiness.

We want to see that a child can engage with an instructor, follow basic directions, and participate safely in a group setting. Being shy or nervous doesn't automatically mean they're not ready.

If your child isn't quite ready, we may recommend giving them a few more months to grow and develop before trying again.

Our goal isn't to enroll every child. It's to help every child who enrolls have a positive, successful experience.

Good questions

What parents want to know.

Does my child need any martial arts experience?

Not at all. Little Dragons is designed as an introduction for children ages 4–6.

What if my child is shy or has trouble focusing?

Children develop at different rates. Our coaches provide encouragement, structure, and age-appropriate expectations. An introductory visit helps us learn about your child and see whether the program is a good fit.

Will my child be sparring or wearing boxing gloves?

Little Dragons do not use boxing gloves. Hand strikes are taught with open palms as part of an age-appropriate approach to safety and skill development.
